REVIEW:
Tom Forsey is a Pennsylvania-based singer/songwriter/guitarist who has yet to break within the alternative country community, but if “To The Core” is any indication of his talent, it shouldn’t be long before people start to take notice of his personal, terse songs of life, including it’s trials, tribulations and absurdities.
Musically, one might hear a bit of The Eagles country rock here, mixed with Tom Waits’s gravelly exclamations and Beatle-ish melodicism. Forsey’s tales are easy to grasp and hold meaning for anyone who has ever felt the sting of love, loss and frustration with life’s mysteries. I highly recommend “To The Core.” |
